ROBERT FINNEY’s corporate finance and banking career spans over 30 years, beginning with Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce in Seattle, then moving to Toronto and Atlanta. He transitioned to Credit Suisse in Atlanta, progressing to Regional Manager and ultimately to Managing Director of Corporate Banking, Credit Suisse – New York where he held responsibility for the Corporate Banking Groups within the investment bank. Prior to joining Marketmaker, he was employed by Deutsche Bank in New York for a middle-market CLO project which focused on financing of private equity activities, notably in the area of acquisitions.
Mr. Finney’s principal disciplines during his banking career were business development, transactional structuring, acquisition finance, corporate advisory and relationship development for clients in a wide variety of industries including Healthcare, Transportation, Natural Resources, Financial Institutions and Project Finance. He also has extensive experience in High Net Worth Private Banking for Forbes 400 clients and resultant private transactions.
Mr. Finney has worked with firms ranging from ‘green-field’ start-up companies to Fortune 50 clients across the US and includes significant ‘C’ level exposure at all clients, where his experience is highly valued.
Mr. Finney is a graduate of The Ohio State University with both Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees in Political Science. He lives in New York and has two grown daughters.
